The Initial Conference

This first in-person meeting is a get-acquainted session where we gather information that will be important for your home search, and explain the various steps you'll take in the process. We'll explore your housing goals and provide some perspective on how those goals match up with what is currently available in the marketplace. We'll discuss your needs, your likes and dislikes, your budget, and your time frame for purchase. We'll also talk about buyer agency, our company, and how we work on a day to day basis. We'll review your financial situation and give you a sense of how much you can borrow and the cash you'll need to close on a home.

We ask that you fill out our Confidential Client Profile before attending the Initial Conference, and bring that with you to the meeting.

Our goal is that you'll leave the initial conference with a clear picture of what will be required to buy a home in this market, and whether or not we're a good fit to serve as your guides.  We'll also evaluate whether or not we can help you achieve your home-buying goals.  If we agree that we're a good fit for one another, then we'll review our exclusive buyer agency contract with you and ask you to sign it. This is an important document that will clearly define our professional relationship and the expectations we should each have as we work together.  If you are unsure or have questions about any of the terms of the agreement, we will encourage you to have it reviewed by your attorney before signing.
